Flout
.............

We know well how their talk grieveth thee,
though in truth they deny not thee (Muhammad)
but evil-doers flout the revelations of Allah.
1

If only, when our disaster came on them,
they had been humble! But their hearts were
hardened and the devil made all that they used
to do seem fair unto them
1

Say: Who delivereth you from the darkness of
the land and the sea? Ye call upon Him humbly
and in secret, (saying): If we are delivered
from this (fear) we truly will be of the thankful.

(O mankind!) Call upon your Lord humbly and in secret.
1

And We sent no prophet unto any township but We
did afflict its folk with tribulation and
adversity that haply they might grow humble
1

And do thou [O Muhammad) remember thy Lord within
thyself humbly and with awe, below thy breath,
at morn and evening. And be thou not of the neglectful
