Be not averse to writing down (the contract) whether
it be small or great, with (record of) the term thereof

He said: Then go down hence! It is not for thee
to show pride here, so go forth! Lo! thou art
of those degraded.

Thus were they there defeated and brought low.

Fight against such of those who have been given the
Scripture as believe not in Allah nor the Last Day,
and forbid not that which Allah hath forbidden by
His messenger, and follow not the religion of truth,
until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low.

Nor spend they any spending, small or great,
nor do they cross a valley, but it is recorded
for them, that Allah may repay them the best of
what they used to do
