Overcome

How many a little company hath overcome a mighty
host by Allah's leave! 
1

Say (O Muhammad) unto those who disbelieve:
Ye shall be overcome and gathered unto Hell,
1 

If Allah is your helper none can overcome you, 
and if He withdraw His help from you, who 
is there who can help you? 
1 

Whoso fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain 
or be he victorious, on him We shall bestow a vast reward.
1

Then outspake two of those who feared (their Lord,
men) unto whom Allah had been gracious: Enter in
upon them by the gate, for if ye enter by it,
lo! ye will be victorious.
1

Your friend can be only Allah; and His messenger
and those who believe, who establish worship
and pay the poor due, and bow down (in prayer)
1

And the wizards came to Pharaoh, saying: Surely
there will be a reward for us if we are victors.
1

Thus were they there defeated and brought low.
1

Lo! those who disbelieve spend their wealth in order
that they may debar (men) from the way of Allah.
They will spend it, then it will become an anguish
for them, then they will be conquered
1

And when Satan made their deeds seem fair to them
and said: No one of mankind can conquer you
this day, for I am your protector
1

If there be of you twenty steadfast they shall
overcome two hundred, and if there be of you
a hundred steadfast they shall overcome
a thousand of those who disbelieve
1

So if there be of you a steadfast hundred
they shall overcome two hundred, and if there be
of you a thousand (steadfast) they shall
overcome two thousand by permission of Allah
1
