Lewedness, Foul

He enjoineth upon you only the evil and the foul,
1

The devil promiseth you destitution and enjoineth
on you lewdness.
1

And those who, when they do an evil thing 
or wrong themselves, remember Allah and 
implore forgiveness for their sins
1

As for those of your women who are guilty of 
lewdness, call to witness four of you 
against them.
1

And as for the two of you who are guilty 
thereof, punish them both
1

nor (that) ye should put constraint upon them that 
ye may take away a part of that which ye have 
given them, unless they be guilty of flagrant lewdness.
1

Lo! it was ever lewdness and abomination, 
and an evil way
1

And if when they are honorably married they commit 
lewdness they shall incur the half of the 
punishment (prescribed) for free women (in that case).
1

and that ye draw not nigh to lewd things whether
open or concealed.
1

And when they do some lewdness they say: We found
our fathers doing it and Allah hath enjoined it on us.
1

Say: Allah, verily, enjoineth not lewdness.
Tell ye concerning Allah that which ye know not?
1

Say: My Lord forbiddeth only indecencies,
such of them as are apparent and such as are within,
and sin and wrongful oppression, and that ye
associate with Allah that for which no warrant
hath been revealed, and that ye tell concerning
Allah that which ye know not
1

And Lot! (Remember) when he said unto his folk:
Will ye commit abomination such as no creature
ever did before you?
