Lead, Vie, before
....

each one hath a goal toward which he turneth;
so vie with one another in good works.

Had Allah willed He could have made you one
community. But that He may try you by that which
He hath given you (He hath made you as ye are).
So vie one with another in good works

And Lot! (Remember) when he said unto his folk:
Will ye commit abomination such as no creature
ever did before you?

And let not those who disbelieve suppose that
they can outstrip (Allah's purpose).
Lo! they cannot escape.

Had it not been for an ordinance of Allah which had
gone before, an awful doom had come upon you
on account of what ye took

And the first to lead the way, of the Muha'jirin
and the Ansar, and those who followed them in
goodness--- Allah is well pleased with them
and they are well pleased with Him, and He hath
made ready for them Gardens underneath which
rivers flow, wherein they will abide for ever.
That is the supreme triumph.

Mankind were but one community; then they differed;
and had it not been for a word that had already
gone forth from thy Lord, it had been judged
between them in respect of that wherein
they differ.
