Do good to Orphans-Command to Children of Israel
1

righteous is he who gives his wealth, for love of Him,
to kinsfolk and to orphans and the needy and the wayfarer
and to those who ask, and to set slaves free
1

Say: That which ye spend for good (must go) to
parents and near kindred and orphans and the
needy and the wayfarer.

they question thee concerning orphans
1

Say: To improve their lot is best
1

if ye mingle your affairs with theirs, then
(they are) your brothers
1

Give unto orphans their wealth
1

And if ye fear that ye will not deal fairly 
by the orphans, marry of the women, 
who seem good to you, two or three or four;
1

Prove orphans till they reach the marriageable age;
1

And when kinsfolk and orphans and the needy 
are present at the devision (of the heritage), 
bestow on them therefrom and speak kindly 
unto them
1

Lo! Those who devour the wealth of orphans 
wrongfully, they do but swallow fire into 
their bellies, and they will be exposed 
to burning flame
1 

(Show) kindness unto parents, and unto near 
kindred, and orphans, and the needy, and 
into the neighbor who is of kin (unto you) 
and the neighbor who is not of kin and 
the fellow traveller and the wayfarer 
and (the slaves) whom your right hands possess.

and the Scripture which hath been recited 
unto you (giveth decree), concerning female
orphans unto whom ye give not that which is
ordained for them though ye desire to marry them,
1

and (concerning) the weak among children,
and that ye should deal justly with orphans.
1

And approach not the wealth of the orphan save with
that which is better; till he reach maturity
1

And know that whatever ye take as spoils of war,
lo! a fifth thereof is for Allah, and for the
messenger and for the kinsmen (who hath need)
and orphans and the needy and the wayfarer;
if ye believe in Allah and that which We revealed
unto Our slave on the Day of Discrimination,
the day when the two armies met.
