An admonition for those fear Allah (mutqeen)
1

He unto whom an admonition from his Lord cometh,
and (he) refraineth (in obedience thereto),
he shall keep (the profits of) that which is past,

This is a declaration for mankind, a 
guidance and an admonition unto those 
who ward off (evil).

We bestowed on him the Gospel wherein is guidance
and a light, confirming that which was (revealed)
before it in the Torah a guidance and an 
admonition unto those who ward off (evil).

And We wrote for him, upon the tablets, the lesson
to be drawn from all things and the explanation
of all things,
1

And when a community among them said: Why preach
ye to a folk whom Allah is about to destroy
and punish with an awful doom, they said:
In order to be free from guilt before
your Lord, and that haply they may ward off (evil).
1

O mankind! There hath come unto you an exhortation
from your Lord, a balm for that which is
in the breasts, a guidance and a mercy for believers.
