from their context

by which the Prophets who surrendered (unto Allah)
judged the Jews, and the rabbis and the priests
(judged) by such of Allah's Scripture as they were
bidden to observe, and thereunto were they witnesses.

The Jews say: Allah's hand is fettered.
Their hands are fettered and they are accursed
for saying so. Nay, but both His hands are
spread out wide in bounty. He bestoweth as He will.

Thou wilt find the most vehement of mankind
in hostility to those who , believe (to be)
the Jews and the idolaters.

And We prescribed for them therein: The life
for the life, and the eye for the eye, and
the nose for the nose, and the ear for the ear,
and the tooth for the tooth, and for wounds
retaliation. But whoso forgoeth it (in the
way of charity) it shall be expiation for him
1

Unto those who are Jews We forbade every animal
with claws. And of the oxen and the sheep forbade
We unto them the fat thereof save that upon the
backs or the entrails, or that which is mixed
with the bone. That We awarded them for their
rebellion. And lo! We verily are Truthful

And the Jews say:. Ezra is the son of Allah,
and the Christians say: The Messiah is the
son of Allah. That is their saying with their
mouths. They imitate the saying of those who
disbelieved of old. Allah (himself) fighteth
against them. How perverse are they!
