Children of Israel used to do

We listen and we disobey- Children of Israel

That is because they used to disbelieve the 
revelations of Allah, and slew the Prophets 
wrongfully. That is because they were rebellious 
and used to transgress
1

until (the moment) when your courage failed 
you, and ye disagreed about the order and 
ye disobeyed, after He had shown you that 
for which ye long.

On that day those who disbelieved and disobeyed 
the messenger will wish that they were level 
with the ground, and they can hide no fact 
from Allah
1

and say: "We hear and disobey; hear thou as one 
who heareth not" and "Listen to us!" distorting 
with their tongues and slandering religion
1

Those of the children of Israel who went astray
were cursed by the tongue of David, and of Jesus,
son of Mary. That was because they rebelled and
used to transgress
1

Say: I fear, if I rebel against my Lord,
the retribution of an Awful Day

What! Now! When hitherto thou hast rebelled
and been of the wrong doers
