Oh Nabi


how they said unto a Prophet whom they had: Set up
for us a King and we will fight in Allah's way.

Their Prophet said unto them: Lo! Allah hath
raised up Saul to be a king for you.
1

And their Prophet said unto them: Lo! the token of
his kingdom is that there shall come unto you the ark
1

Allah giveth thee glad tidings of (a son whose name is)
John, (who cometh) to confirm a word from Allah,
lordly, chaste, a Prophet of the righteous
1

Lo! those of mankind who have the best claim
to Abraham are those who followed him
1

And with how many a prophet have there been a 
number of devoted men who fought (beside him).
1

It is not for any Prophet to deceive (mankind).
1 

If they believed in Allah and the Prophet and
that which is revealed unto him, they would not
choose them for their friends. But many of them
are of evil conduct
1

Thus have We appointed unto every Prophet an
adversary--- devils of humankind and jinn
who inspire in one another plausible discourse
through guile.
1

And We sent no prophet unto any township but We
did afflict its folk with tribulation and
adversity that haply they might grow humble
1

Those who follow the messenger, the Prophet who can
neither read nor write, whom they will find described
in the Torah and the Gospel (which are) with them
1

So believe in Allah and His messenger, the Prophet
who can neither read nor write, who believeth in Allah
and in His words and follow him that haply
ye may be led aright.
1

It is not for any Prophet to have captives
until he hath made slaughter in the land.
1

And of them are those who vex the Prophet
and say: He is only a hearer.
1

It is not for the Prophet, and those who believe,
to pray for the forgiveness of idolaters even though
they may be near of kin (to them) after it hath
become clear that they are people of hell fire.
1

Allah hath turned in mercy to the Prophet,
and to the Muhajirin and the Ansar who followed
him in the hour of hardship. After the hearts of
a party of them had almost swerved aside,
then turned He unto them in mercy.
