Night

when We did appoint for Moses forty nights

the difference of night and day,are signs of Allah

It is made lawful for you to go unto your
wives on the night of the fast.

Then strictly observe the fast till nightfall
1

Those who spend their wealth by night and day, by
stealth and openly, verily their reward is
1

Thou causest the night to pass into the day,
and Thou causest the day to pass into the night.
1

Of the People of the Scripture there is a 
staunch community who recite the revelations 
of Allah in the night season, falling 
prostrate (before Him)
1

Unto Him belongeth whatsoever resteth in the night
and the day. He is the Hearer, the Knower
1

He it is Who gathereth you at night and knoweth
that which ye commit by day. Then He raiseth
you again to life therein, that the term
appointed (for you) may be accomplished.

When the night grew dark upon him he beheld a star.
He said: this is my lord. But when it set,
he said: I  love not things that set.
1

He is the Cleaver of the Daybreak, and He hath
appointed the night for stillness, and the sun
and the moon for reckoning. That is the
measuring of the Mighty, the Wise
1

He covereth the night with the day, which is
in haste to follow it,
1

We did appoint for Moses thirty nights
1

and he completed the whole time appointed
by his Lord of forty nights;
1

The similitude of the life of the world is only as
water which We send down from the sky, then the earth's
growth of that which men and cattle eat mingleth with
it till, when the earth hath taken on her ornaments
and is embellished, and her people deem that they are
masters of her, Our commandment cometh by night or
by day and we make it as reaped corn as if it had
not flourished yesterday.

And those who earn ill deeds, (for them) requital
of each ill deed by the like thereof; and ignominy
overtaketh them---. They have no protector from Allah.
--- As if their faces had been covered with a cloak
of darkest night. Such are rightful owners of the
Fire; they will abide therein

He it is who hath appointed for you the night
that ye should rest therein and the day
giving sight. Lo! herein verily are portents
for a folk that heed.
