slaying your sons and sparing your women

They say: that Allah has taken a son

The same did Abraham enjoin upon his sons, and also Jacob,
1

Said Yaqub, Lo! Allah hath chosen for you the (true) religion
1

When he said to his sons:What will ye worship after me?
1

recognize (this revelation) as they recognize their sons.
1

Why should we not fight in Allah's way when we have
been driven from our dwellings with our children?
1

Beautified for mankind is love of the joys
(that come) from women and offspring, and
stored up heaps of gold and silver, and horses
branded (with their mark), and cattle and land.
1

say (unto him): Come! We will summon our sons
and your sons, and our women and your women,
and ourselves and yourselves,
1

Your parents or your children: Ye know not 
which of them is nearer unto you in usefulness.
1

and the wives of your sons who (spring) from your 
own loins. And (it is forbidden unto you) that 
ye should have two sisters together, except 
what hath already happened (of that nature) 
in the past
1

The Jews and Christians say: We are sons of Allah
and His loved ones. Say; Why then doth He chastise
you for your sins?
1

But recite unto them with truth the tale of
the two sons of Adam
1

Those unto whom We gave the Scripture recognize
(this Revelation) as they recognize their sons
1

Yet they ascribe as partners unto Him the jinn,
although He did create them, and impute falsely,
without knowledge, sons and daughters unto Him.
Glorified be He and high exalted above (all)
that they ascribe (unto Him).

slaying  their sons and spare their women,

He said: Son of my mother! Lo! the folk did
judge me weak and almost killed me.
1

Say: If your fathers, and your sons, and your
brethren, and your wives, and your tribe, and
the wealth ye have acquired, and merchandise for
which ye fear that there will be no sale,
and dwellings ye desire are dearer to you
than Allah and His messenger and striving
in His way: then wait till Allah bringeth
His command to pass.

And the Jews say:. Ezra is the son of Allah,
and the Christians say: The Messiah is the
son of Allah. That is their saying with their
mouths. They imitate the saying of those who
disbelieved of old. Allah (himself) fighteth
against them. How perverse are they!
