For Yourselves


Moses said to his people:Yourself kill (the guilty ones)
1

Nor will you Yourself drive out people from their dwellings
1

These were you who kill each other
1

that which ye yourselves desire 
not, ye grow arrogant
1

Allah is aware that ye were deceiving yourselves in
this respect and He hath turned in mercy toward you
and relieved you.
1

There is no sin for you in that which ye proclaim
or hide in your minds concerning your troth with women.
1

Know that Allah knoweth what is in your minds, so beware of Him
1

and whether ye make known what is in your minds or
hide it, Allah will bring you to account for it.
1

say (unto him): Come! We will summon our sons
and your sons, and our women and your women,
and ourselves and yourselves,
1

Say (unto them, O Muhammad): It is from yourselves.
1

Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Then avert death 
from yourselves if ye are truthful.
1

Assuredly ye will be tried in your property 
and in your persons,
1

and kill not one another
1

And if We had decreed for them : Lay down your lives
or go forth from your dwellings, but few of them 
would have done it;
1

even though it be against yourselves or (your)
parents or (your) kindred, whether (the case
be of) a rich man or a poor man, for Allah
is nearer unto both (than ye are)
1

O ye who believe! Ye have charge of your own souls.
He who erreth cannot injure you if ye are rightly
guided. Unto Allah ye will all return; and then
He will inform you of what ye used to do
1

If thou couldst see, when the wrong doers reach
the pangs of death and the angels stretch their
hands out, saying: Deliver up your souls.This day
ye are awarded doom of degradation for that ye
spake concerning Allah other than the truth,
and scorned His portents
1

Lo! the number of the months with Allah is twelve
months by Allah's ordinance in the day that
He created the heavens and the earth. Four of
them are sacred: that is the right religion.
So wrong not yourselves in them.
1

Go forth, light armed and heavy armed,
and strive with your wealth and your lives
in the way of Allah! That is best for you
if ye but knew.
1

There hath come unto you a messenger, (one) of
yourselves, unto whom aught that ye are overburdened
is grievous, full of concern for you, for the
believers full of pity, merciful.
1

O mankind! Your rebellion is only against yourselves.
(Ye have) enjoyment of the life of the world;
then unto Us is your return and We shall proclaim
unto you what ye used to do.
