prepared for those who ward off (evil);

Endure, outdo all others in endurance, be ready,
1

Whoso slayeth a believer of set purpose, his reward
is Hell for ever. Allah is wroth against him and 
He hath cursed him and prepared for him an awful doom.
1 

Make ready for them all thou canst of (armed) force
and of horses tethered, that thereby ye may dismay
the enemy of Allah and your enemy, and others beside
them whom ye know not. Allah knoweth them.
1

And if they had wished to go forth they would
assuredly have made ready some equipment,
but Allah was averse to their being sent forth
and held them back and (it was said unto
them ) : Sit ye with the sedentary
1

Allah hath made ready for them Gardens underneath
which rivers flow, wherein they will abide.
That is the supreme triumph
1

And the first to lead the way, of the Muha'jirin
and the Ansar, and those who followed them in
goodness--- Allah is well pleased with them
and they are well pleased with Him, and He hath
made ready for them Gardens underneath which
rivers flow, wherein they will abide for ever.
That is the supreme triumph.
