Jews and Christians accuse each other of not
being on any thing.
1

They have no control of aught of that which
they have gained
1

Whoso doeth that hath no connection with Allah
unless (it be) that ye but guard yourselves
against them, taking (as it were) security.
1

And whatsoever ye spend, Allah is aware thereof.
1

but if they of their own accord remit unto 
you a part thereof, then ye are welcome to 
absorb it (in your wealth)
1

and if ye have a dispute concerning any matter, 
refer it to Allah and the messenger if ye are 
(in truth) believers in Allah and the Last Day. 
That is better and more seemly in the end
1

Say: O People of the Scripture! Ye have naught
(of guidance) till ye observe the Torah and the
Gospel and that which was revealed unto you from
your Lord
1

Say (O Muhammad) : What thing is of most weight
in testimony? Say: Allah is witness between
you and me.
1

We have neglected nothing in the Book (of Our decrees).
Then unto their Lord they will be gathered.
1

Thou art not accountable for them in aught,
nor are they accountable for thee in aught,
that thou shouldst repel them and be of the wrong-doers
1

Those who ward off (evil) are not accountable
for them in aught, but the Reminder (must be
given them) that haply they (too) may ward off (evil).
1

And they measure not the power of Allah its true
measure when they say: Allah hath naught revealed
unto a human being
1

They who are idolaters will say: Had Allah willed,
we had not ascribed (unto Him) partners neither
had our fathers, nor had we forbidden aught.
Thus did those who were before them give the
lie (to Allah's messengers) till they tasted
of the fear of Us.
1

Lo! As for those who sunder their religion and
become schismatics, no concern at all hast thou
with them. Their case will go to Allah, who then
will tell them what they used to do
1

and what things Allah hath created,
1

They said: Have we any part in the cause? 
1

But for the grace of Allah upon thee (Muhammad),
and His mercy, a party of them had resolved 
to mislead thee, but they will mislead only 
themselves and they will hurt thee not at all.
1

And know that whatever ye take as spoils of war,
lo! a fifth thereof is for Allah, and for the
messenger and for the kinsmen (who hath need)
and orphans and the needy and the wayfarer;
if ye believe in Allah and that which We revealed
unto Our slave on the Day of Discrimination,
the day when the two armies met.
1

Whatsoever ye spend in the way of Allah it will be
repaid to you in full, and ye will not be wronged.
1

And those who believed but did not leave their homes,
ye have no duty to protect them till they leave
their homes;
