hypocrites are deaf, dumb, blind

Deaf, dumb, blind,

I heal him who was born blind, and the leper,
and I raise the dead, by Allah's leave
1 

They thought no harm would come of it, so they were
willfully blind and deaf. And afterward Allah turned
(in mercy) toward them. Now (even after that) are
many of them willfully blind and deaf.

and thou didst heal him who was born blind
and the leper by My permission;
1

Say: Are the blind man and the seer equal?
Will ye not then take thought?
1

Proofs have come unto you from your Lord,
so whoso seeth, it is for his own good,
and whoso is blind is blind to his own hurt.
1

And of them is he who looketh toward thee. But canst
thou guide the blind even though they see not?
