to Leave
.............

Such of you as die and leave behind them wives,
they (the wives) shall wait, keeping themselves
apart, four months and ten days.

those of you who are about to die and leave behind
them wives, they should bequeath unto their wives
a provision for the year without turning them out
1

Observe your duty to Allah, and give up what remaineth
(due to you) from usury, if ye are (in truth) believers
1

It is not (the purpose) of Allah to leave you 
in your present state till He shall separate 
the wicked from the good.
1

Ye will not be able to deal equally between (your)
wives, however much ye wish (to do so): But turn 
not altogether away (from one), leaving her 
as in suspense
1

And forsake those who take their religion for a
pastime and a jest, and whom the life of the
world beguileth
1

ye were taught that which ye knew not yourselves
nor (did) your fathers (know it)? Say: Allah.
Then leave them to their play of cavilling
1

We confound their hearts and their eyes.
As they believed not therein at the first,
We let them wander blindly on in their contumacy
1

If thy Lord willed, they would not do so;
so leave them alone with their devising;
1

Forsake the outwardness of sin and the inwardness thereof.
Lo! those who garner sin will be awarded that
which they have earned
1

Thus have their (so called) partners (of Allah) made
the killing of their children to seem fair unto many
of the idolaters, that they may ruin them and make
their faith obscure for them. Had Allah willed
(it otherwise), they had not done so. So leave them
alone with their devices.
1

They said: Hast come unto us that we should serve
Allah alone, and forsake what our fathers worshipped?
1

Lo! this is the camel of Allah, a token unto you;
so let her feed in Allah's earth, and touch her
not with hurt lest painful torment seize you
1

The chiefs of Pharaoh's people said: (O King),
wilt thou suffer Moses and his people to make
mischief in the land, and flout thee and thy gods? 
1

Allah's are the fairest names. Invoke Him by them.
And leave the company of those who blaspheme
His names. They will be requited what they do
1

Those whom Allah sendeth astray, there is no guide
for them. He leaveth them to wander blindly on in
their contumacy
1

And when a surah is revealed (which saith ):
Believe in Allah and strive along with
His messenger, the men of wealth among them
still ask leave of thee and say : Suffer us
to be with those who sit (at home)
1

If Allah were to hasten on for men the ill
(that they have earned ) as they would hasten
on the good, their respite would already have expired.
