Noor in the sense of Light

Allah is-the Protecting Friend of those who believe.
He bringeth them out of darkness into light
1

As for those who disbelieve, their patrons are false
deities. They bring them out of light into darkness
1

O mankind! Now hath a proof from your Lord come
unto you, and We have sent down unto you
a clear light
1

O people of the Scripture! Now hath Our messenger
come unto you, expounding unto you much of that
which ye used to hide in the Scripture, and
forgiving much. Now hath come unto you light
from Allah and a plain Scripture,

He bringeth them out of darkness unto
light by His decree
1

Lo! We did reveal the Torah, wherein is guidance
and a light,
1

We bestowed on him the Gospel wherein is guidance
and a light, confirming that which was (revealed)
before it in the Torah a guidance and an 
admonition unto those who ward off (evil).
1

Praise be to Allah, Who hath created the heavens
and the earth, andhath appointed darkness and light.
Yet those who disbelieve ascribe rivals unto their Lord
1

Say (unto the Jews who speak thus): Who revealed
the Book which Moses brought, a light and
guidance for mankind, which ye have put on
parchments which ye show, but ye hide much (thereof),
1

Is he who was dead and We have raised him unto life,
and set for him a light wherein he walketh among men,
as him whose similitude is in utter darkness whence
he cannot emerge? Thus is their conduct made
fair-seeming for the disbelievers
1

Then those who believe in him, and honor him
and help him, and follow the light which is
sent down with him: they are the successful.
1

Fain would they put out the light of Allah with
their mouths, but Allah disdaineth (aught) save
that He shall perfect His light, however much
the disbelievers are averse.
1

He it is who appointed the sun a splendor and
the moon a light, and measured for her stages,
that ye might know the number of the years, 
and the reckoning. Allah created not (all)
that save in truth
