Retain them not to their hurt so that ye transgress
(the limits). He who doeth that hath wronged his soul.

And if, when they had wronged themselves, they had 
but come unto thee and asked forgiveness of Allah 
and asked forgiveness of the messenger(and messenger
may have asked for them forgiveness), they would have
found Allah Forgiving, Merciful.

Lo! as for those whom the angels take (in death)
while they wrong themselves, (the angels) will
ask: In what were ye engaged?

Yet whoso doeth evil or wrongeth his own soul,
then seeketh pardon of Allah, will find Allah
Forgiving, Merciful.

They said : Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves.
If Thou forgive us not and have not mercy on us,
surely we are of the lost!
