He hath revealed unto thee (Muhammad) 
the Scripture with truth,

He it is Who hath revealed unto thee (Muhammad) 
the Scripture wherein are clear and allegorical revelations.

with the truth, that thou mayst judge between mankind 

Allah revealeth unto thee the Scripture

(It is) a Scripture that is revealed unto thee (Muhammad)--- 
so let there be no heaviness in thy heart therefrom

who came with miracles and with the 
Psalms and with the Scripture giving light

We, a  Book onto thee

has revealed

that thou mayst explain unto them 
that wherein they differ,

as an exposition of all things,

has revealed which is read unto them

have revealed for mankind with truth

Had we sent down unto thee (Muhammad) 
(actual) writing upon parchment,disbelievers would not
have believed it

then question those who read the 
Scripture (that was) before thee.

And recite that which hath been 
revealed unto thee of the scripture 
of thy Lord.

Thou hadst no hope that the Scripture 
would be inspired in thee

Recite that which hath been inspired 
in thee of the Scripture,

And thou (O Muhammad) wast not a reader 
of any scripture before it

Thou knewest not what the Scripture was,

till thou bring down for us a book that we can read
