But those of them who are firm in knowledge and the believers 
believe in that which is revealed unto thee, and that which was 
revealed before thee, especially the diligent in prayer and 
those who pay the poor due, the believers in Allah and the Last Day.

If they believed in Allah and the Prophet and that which is 
revealed unto him, they would not choose them for their friends.

Fight against such of those who have been given the Scripture 
as believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, and forbid not 
that which Allah hath forbidden by His messenger, 
and follow not the religion of truth,..
