CHILDREN OF ISRAEL

And will make him a messenger unto the children of Israel, 
1

All food was lawful unto the children of 
Israel, save that which Israel forbade 
himself, (in days) before the Torah 
was revealed. 
1

Allah made a covenant of old with the Children of Israel
and We raised among them twelve chieftains
1

For that cause We decreed for the Children of Israel
that whosoever killeth a human being for other than
man slaughter or corruption in the earth, it shall be
as if be had killed all mankind, and whoso saveth the
life of one, it shall be as if he had: saved the life
of all mankind
1

They surely disbelieve who say : Lo! Allah is the Messiah,
son of Mary. The Messiah (himself) said : O Children of
Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.

Those of the children of Israel who went astray
were cursed by the tongue of David, and of Jesus,
son of Mary. That was because they rebelled and
used to transgress

forget a part of that whereof they were admonished.

Our messengers came unto them of old with clear proofs
(of Allah's sovereignty) , but afterwards lo! many of
them became prodigals in the earth
1
 
and how I restrained the Children of Israel from
(harming) thee when thou camest unto them
with clear proofs, and those of them who disbelieved
exclaimed: This is naught else than mere magic
1

I come unto you (lords of Egypt) with a clear proof
from your Lord. So let the Children of Israel go with me
1

If thou removest the terror from us we verily
will trust thee and will let the
Children of Israel go with thee.
1

And the fair word of thee Lord was fulfilled
for the Children of Israel because of
their endurance;
1

And We brought the Children of Israel
across the sea,

Pharaoh with his hosts pursued them in rebellion
and transgression, till, when the (fate of)
drowning overtook him, he exclaimed: I believe
that there is no God save Him in whom the
Children of Israel believe, and I am of
those who surrender (unto Him)
1

And We verify did allot unto the Children of Israel
a fixed abode, and did provide them with good things;
and they differed not until knowledge came unto them.
Lo! thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of
Resurrection concerning that wherein they used to differ
