WAR

Fighting



And if ye do not, then be warned of war (against you)
from Allah and His messenger.

The only reward of those who make war upon Allah
and His messenger and strive after corruption in
the land will be that they will be killed or
crucified, or have their hands and feet on
alternate sides cut off, or will be expelled
out of the land. Such will be their degradation
in the world, and in the Hereafter theirs will
be an awful doom;

As often as they light a fire for war, Allah
extinguisheth it.

If thou comest on them in the war, deal with them
so as to strike fear in those who are behind them,
that haply they may remember
1

And as for those who chose a place of worship out of
opposition and disbelief, and in order to cause dissent
among the believers, and as an outpost for those
who warred against Allah and His messenger aforetime,
they will surely swear : We purposed naught save good.
Allah beareth witness that they verily are liars.
