WHO ARE ASTRAY


Unless my Lord guide me, I surely shall become one of 
the folk who are astray.

 If thou obeyedst most of those on earth they would mislead 
thee far from Allah's way.

...and we were erring folk.

And who goeth farther astray than he who followeth his lust 
without guidance from Allah.

If it(Quran) is from Allah and ye reject it--- Who is further astray 
than one who is at open feud (with Allah)?

..... And such are those who are astray.

Say: I am forbidden to worship those on whom ye call instead 
of Allah. Say: I will not follow your desires, for then should 
I go astray and I should not be of the rightly guided.

And who is further astray than those who, instead of Allah, 
pray unto such as hear not their prayer until the Day of 
Resurrection, and are unconscious of their prayer,

...But lo! many are led astray by their own lusts through ignorance. 

Hast thou seen him who maketh his desire his god, and Allah 
sendeth him astray purposely,

.....They indeed have gone astray and are not guided.

...for lo! they choose the devils for protecting friends 
instead of Allah and deem that they are rightly guided...

See what similitudes they coin for thee, and thus are all astray

And forgive my father. Lo! he is of those who err.

Lo! we obeyed our princes and great men, and they misled us from the Way.

Lo! the guilty are in error and madness.

These are as the cattle--- nay, but they are worse!
These are the neglectful
